Made-to-order furniture, built in Bahrain
Furniture built to measure has usually meant drawing up plans with a joiner, waiting on a quote, and finding out at the end whether any of it fits. IFRSH works the other way round. Every piece here begins as a set of proportions you choose yourself, and it is cut to those figures in our own workshop rather than trimmed down from a standard size. You set the width, settle the depth, and decide how many shelves the room actually needs before anything is made.
Made to measure, without the drawing board
You do not need cabinetmaking software or a workshop of your own to design something that fits. The configurator carries the engineering: it works out shelf spans, panel thicknesses and load limits while you concentrate on how the piece should sit in the room. Widen a bookcase and the internal structure recalculates on the spot, so nothing you can build is a piece that sags. The model you approve on screen is the same model that becomes the cutting list, which is why what arrives matches what you designed down to the millimetre. Browse the bookcase configurator.
Storage for the walls you actually have
Awkward corners, sloping ceilings and chimney breasts are exactly where catalogue furniture gives up. Building to measure turns those constraints into the starting point instead of the obstacle. A run that stops short of a radiator, a low unit sized to sit beneath a window, a tall column squeezed into a forty-centimetre alcove — all of it is ordinary work when the dimensions are yours to set rather than someone else's to guess. Browse bookcases, wardrobes and chests of drawers.
What you can configure today
Two families are live in the configurator: bookcases and wardrobes. The rest of the collection — sideboards, chests of drawers, beds and seating — is designed and being brought into the same system, and each has a page describing the form it takes. If you want one of those now, it is a conversation rather than a checkout, and the answer to whether we can build it is usually yes. Browse talk to the workshop.
Living rooms that read as architecture
The living room has to do several jobs at once: somewhere for the television, somewhere for books, somewhere to put the things you would rather not look at. That is easier when the storage is planned as one continuous run instead of accumulated from mismatched units bought years apart. Set a low, wide silhouette under the screen, carry the same finish up into taller shelving on either side, and the wall stops reading as furniture. Doors and open bays can be mixed along the same run, so display and concealment sit side by side.
Bedrooms, measured rather than approximated
Bedrooms are the hardest room to furnish from a catalogue. The bed fixes the layout, the door swing takes a corner, and whatever is left rarely matches a standard wardrobe footprint. Building to measure lets you work with what the room gives you: a wardrobe that runs wall to wall and stops at the picture rail, a bedside unit narrow enough to clear the radiator, drawers set at a height that suits the mattress you already own. Rails, shelves and drawer banks are chosen per column, so the inside is planned as carefully as the outside.
Shelving that holds a real collection
Book collections are unusually demanding and most shelving is not built for them. Paperbacks, art books and records all want different depths, and a shelf sized for one wastes space or fails outright for another. Designing the piece yourself means setting those depths row by row instead of accepting one compromise across the whole unit. Longer spans pick up additional vertical support automatically, so a wall of full shelves stays straight rather than bowing in the middle.
Function before finish
Customisation is not only a question of appearance. How a piece performs over a decade comes down to decisions that are easy to overlook when ordering: whether the back panel can carry a wall-mounted run, whether the drawer runners are rated for what you intend to put in them, whether the shelf pitch suits the objects you actually own. Those checks are built into the configurator rather than left to judgement, and they run continuously as you adjust the design. Browse how we build.
